“A Healthy Body Starts with a Healthy Smile”
Dentistry encompasses array of services and procedures with a common goal: to help you to preserve your natural teeth, ensure your oral health, and keep you looking and feeling great.
Sleep apnea is a breathing condition characterized by restricted air passages which result in pauses in breathing which can last anywhere from several seconds to a couple of minutes or more.
A dental crown or “cap” is a covering that fits over a damaged, decayed or unattractive tooth. It can even replace a tooth entirely as part of dental bridgework.

- Jeffrey Cross has several passions in providing dental and medical care for his patients. He belongs to the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and had his office accredited to provide sleep medicine care by the AADSM and provided sleep disturbed breathing relief to many patients. His quest for knowledge contributed to him achieving Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and being graduate of the prestigious and world-renowned Pankey Institute of higher Dental Education.
- Ronald E. Levine takes a holistic approach to his life and brings that same understanding to the dental practice. He is invested in his patients’ overall well-being, and you will often find him conversing with his patients about health, nutrition, and fitness-related issues that go beyond dentistry. Proper dental care is a great way to improve one’s self-esteem—there is great value in a healthy, beautiful smile.
- After graduating with B.S. from the State University of New York at Albany with a B.S. in May 1980, Dr. Levine continued at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, receiving his D.D.S. in June 1984. He completed a Dental Residency at Prince George’s Community Hospital in Cheverly, Maryland in June 1985 and made Maryland his home. Dr. Levine has been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry privately in Maryland since 1985, primarily in German town.
- Additionally, Dr. Levine has completed over 3500 hours of continuing education, including the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study, The Institute for Advanced Studies in Dental Esthetics, and the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education.

We have extensive experience in correcting sleep disorders such as sleep apnea. Our approach to alleviating this widely prevalent and commonly undiagnosed condition is to begin with a comprehensive exam. During this assessment, Dr. Cross looks for a number of potential sleep apnea risk factors, such as the patient’s age and weight, anatomy of the back of the throat, and the presence of fat pads around their neck.
Patients then undergo a sleep study at home, using specialized equipment that monitors and records breathing patterns while sleeping. The results are then evaluated by a specially trained sleep physician to determine whether or not you exhibit signs of sleep apnea.
If a diagnosis of sleep apnea is made, Dr. Cross will then recommend the use of a corrective oral appliance which the patient wears while sleeping. Of course, the recommendation for this appliance is determined by many factors related to the patient’s overall health which could impact their likelihood of being a suitable candidate for this corrective measure. Just a couple of the considerations made with regard to recommending an oral appliance includes whether the patient has enough stable teeth to support the appliance and no problems with the jaw joint.
Our Frederick, MD practice is able to provide sleep apnea patients with corrective appliances in as little as three weeks from the date of diagnosis. We make sure that the device fits properly, and those patients are confident about the proper use of the device.
Restorative dentistry helps to keep your mouth functional and healthy. Procedures are done to correct any issues and to give you a healthy smile. These can include:
- Sealants and Fillings
- Full or Partial Dentures
- Implant-Supported Dentures
- Periodontal Treatment
- TMJ Treatment
- Orthodontics Treatment
There are times when people want to correct their teeth for aesthetic reasons. Cosmetic dentistry is used to treat problems like crooked teeth, gaps, crowding, and discoloration. Procedures can include:
- Dental Bonding
- Dental Crowns
- Teeth Whitening

Frederick is a city in, and the county seat, of Frederick County, Maryland. It is part of the Baltimore–Washington Metropolitan Area. Frederick has long been an important crossroads, located at the intersection of a major north–south Native American trail and east–west routes to the Chesapeake Bay, both at Baltimore and what became Washington, D.C. and across the Appalachian mountains to the Ohio River watershed. It is a part of the Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, DC-VA-MD-WV Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is part of a greater Washington-Baltimore-Arlington, DC-MD-VA-WV-PA Combined Statistical Area. The city’s population was 65,239 people at the 2010 United States Census, making it the second-largest incorporated city in Maryland, behind Baltimore. Frederick is home to Frederick Municipal Airport (IATA: FDK), which accommodates general aviation, and to the county’s largest employer U.S. Army’s Fort Detrick bioscience/communications research installation.
